Geocache Description:

A short 860m walk along a public footpath through open fields. Regularly used by dog walkers but not entirely suitable for buggies or wheelchairs (especially in wet months).

This is the first cache that we've placed and we hope you enjoy finding it as much as we enjoyed researching and placing it.

The cache is located to the South of the British Racing School (www.brs.org.uk) about 12 miles East of Cambridge and 12 miles West of Bury St Edmunds just off the A14 junction with the A142 Fordham road.

The footpath joins the Snailwell Road that runs between Newmarket town and Snailwell village at 52.26590N, 0.41200E not far from the railway bridge. There is no designated parking but there are wide verges that are regularly used for parking by local dog walkers. Snailwell Road is generally quiet; in our experience you are just as likely to see joggers, cyclists or horses on this road as you are to see other cars.

The cache itself is a regular 1 litre plastic tub located beside the public footpath so there is no need to stray over the new fences and hedgerows into private land. It is not on the floor and the tub has been decorated to blend with it's surroundings.
