Geocache Description:

Simple hide in beautiful North Shore Park. This is a very popular area so lots of stealth will be required. BYOP

I had a little time before my meeting downtown so I decided to stop by and enjoy the beautiful view of North Shore Beach and Tampa Bay. I took a seat in an unoccupied shaded bench and took out a small bag of peanuts I had brought with me to snack on. When I finished the peanuts I noticed that I was surrounded by small squirrels who were all stiffing the air. I went back to the car and got another pack of peanuts and sat down again. Shortly after I had about 6-8 squirrels running all over the place trying to get their share of the peanuts. I have never seen wild animals so unafraid of humans. They were eating peanuts right out of my hand and running to grab them off my leg where I had made a little pile for them. Later there were about a dozen seagulls equally unafraid trying to get their share. It was a lot of fun and it also seemed like the perfect place for a cache. Bring some food for the local animals and sit back and enjoy the wonderful view of the water.
