With all of the Challenge of the Century caches that sprung up
this past year, many local cachers have been troubled. There is no
way on earth that many of us will be able to log these caches
without traveling several hundreds of miles. Thus, we introduce the
idea of "Challenge of a Century Help" caches.
If you choose to create a "COTCH cache", feel free to use the
naming style and add your own number. (You would also want to
check out the Challenge Cache listings to make sure all the
requirements are met.) Here are the basics:
1. CotC-Names:
[GC2VD7W] The cache name must contain a proper name: (Andy, Betty,
Charles, ...)
2. CotC-Bodies
of Water: [GC2VD45] The cache name must include a
body of
water. (Bog, Canal, Lake, ...)
3. CotC-Colors:
[GC2VD8M] The cache name must contain the name of a
color:
(Amber, Brown, Crimson, ...)
4. CotC-Critters:
[GC2TZ4V] The cache name must contain the name of an
animal:
(Aardvark, Bison, Crocodile, ...)
5. CotC-Food/Drink:
[GC2V0TJ] The cache name must include the name of a
food or
drink. (Artichoke, Beans, Cantaloupe, ...)
(We wouldn't mind seeing about 99 more C.O.T.C.H. caches pop up
around Lafayette. )
