The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. I decided to copy that indicator for our cemetery caches to highlight cemeteries in the area.
Please be respectful of the area, and observe the posted hours which are sunrise to sunset.
It is a small PBJ jar hidden in the Thamesville
Cemetery, on the North side of the Thames River.
Enter by way of Memory Lane, and park in front of the cemetery.
You are encouraged to take the time to read the interesting
historical plaques near the entrance, and enjoy a stroll back in
time as you walk in. You will notice that the farther you go into
the cemetery, the older the headstones are.
This cache has lots of good swag (at the time of hiding), so
please try to exchange in kind.
The area can be very muddy at certain times, so plan your hunt
accordingly.
