Geocache Description:

Attention: Due to circumstances beyond my control, the Quarter Series will be archived and containers will be pulled on May 10th (unless something comes up). Some of these may be relisted as normal caches.

The State Quarter Series

Attention: It has been asked that there be NO sunday searching for this cache.

The cache IS at the posted coordinates, BUT there is a logging requirement. Please read the entire cache description.

PleaseDO NOT try and take the quarter out of container, it is NOT REAL, just a copy of actual quarter!!!

Welcome to the State Quarter Series.  I'll be hiding 50 caches, one for each state quarter. These are not hidden in any particular order. In the cache description below, you will find some hopefully lesser know facts about the state in question. The title also may be a clue. When you find the cache, there will be a REPLICA State Quarter glued inside, please do not try and remove it.

LOGGING REQUIREMENTS:

1) Find the cache and sign the log.

2) Write down the number on the log, you will need it later.

3) Email me (using the profile link) the name of the State for this cache.

The Lesser Known Facts about this State.

1) The largest producer of sweet potatoes in the nation.

2) Krispy Kreme Doughnuts was founded here.

3) Babe Ruth hit his first homerun here on March 7, 1914.

4) Pepsi was invented and first served here in 1898.

Don't worry, if you don't figure out the trivia, just look inside the cache to find out the state.

Bonus:Find all 50 of the State Quarter Caches and write down the number in each cache. Then you may try for:

GC1N4KX  - The State Quarter Series - The Final

You will need to add all the numbers together to get the final code for the container.  The Zero is NOT used in the final number. You may email me to verify if you have the correct number before attempting the final, but only after logging all 50 of the regular caches on Geocaching.com first.
