I have been having a lot of fun playing a puzzle out of the
Pioneer
Press's Sunday Comics, so I decided to try one out my self for
a
puzzle cache. This is my first puzzle so I hope you enjoy it.
To solve this cache, you need to solve the puzzle below:
To solve the puzzle, you will need to place numbers 1-4 across
and up and down, such that the numbers in any row or column do not
repeat and that the numbers in the boxes solve the problem listed
in the grouped boxes. Example: the first two boxes going down have
a darker line surrounding them, grouping them together. If the clue
was 4(+), then the numbers in those boxes would need to add up to 4
so the numbers would have to be 3 and 1, because the only other
numbers that add to four are 2 and 2, but numbers can't repeat, so
that won't work. If the clue had been 2(-) the answer could have
been either 4 and 2 or 3 and 1.
To make the puzzle unique, I am giving you the answer to spot D
(see chart below).
Still confused, not sure how this works? I made a YouTube Video to
show how to solve this type of puzzle:

Then once you have filled it out, you will need to use the
reference guide and the formulas below to get the lat and long:
North (N+P) (L+C) deg (I+J) (O+K+C) dot (I-N) (D+F+G)
(B-C-A)
West ZERO (B+M+C+G) ((H+L)/K) deg (E+L) (O+C+A+J) dot
(B-J)
((H+G)*(D-K)) (H+O+G)
