South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge 12 is number twelve in a series of thirty caches that have been placed in the South Wales mountains.
The South Wales Mountain Cache Challenge has thirty caches placed in various parts of the upland areas of the Principality. A mountain is defined as being at least 2000 feet high, but here in Wales, we like to call some of higher hills mountains as well, and so several of the caches have been placed in areas that I perceive to be beautiful, but do not fall within the definition of a mountain!
Please also understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and is an entirely subjective view!
Many of the caches have been placed in the mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
SWMCC 12 has been placed near to the summit of Waun Fach. Waun Fach translates from welsh to english as 'big bog', and for those of you familiar with the hill, you'll know that this is not an understatement!!! So, with no realistic chance of placing a cache on the summit, this was the next best thing. Oh, and the views down the valley are pretty good too.
There is a rock here for you to sit on and enjoy a cuppa, or some food, BUT, please leave the cache completely hidden as there is a chance that this rock will be frequented by others who aren't in the know!!!
Do not forget to look for a clue within the cache, as to find number thirty in the series, you will need 17 clues that are hidden in the first 29 caches in the series.
