Geocache Description:

A camo rubbermaid container a short distance from the road, with log pen and schwag to trade. This is Texas so watch out for ticks and the things that slither in the summer time!

The founder of True, George W. Terrell, born in Tarrent County, August 16, 1850. At one time the little town of True had two general stores, one drug store, a blacksmith shop, post office, school (3 buildings), cotton gin, Woodman of the World Lodge, band, ball team and a church organization. The True post office was established November 22, l894, it was discontinued Feb. 29, 1912. The stores are all gone. All the homes have disappeared and the only evidence that True existed at all, is the red brick school building that later was used as a community center,(the other two school buildings were wood and are long gone) and the little cemetery.
