This cache is located at the new Forney Community Park.
The Forney Community Park sits on a parcel of land containing 127 acres. Phase 1, the portion that has just been completed, covers 70 acres. The park's initial phase features a family recreation area, a soccer area, and a girls’ softball area. Each area has its own concession and rest room facilities. Each central building is designed to reflect Forney’s heritage. The central facility in the soccer area, for example, has an exterior like a hay barn—a symbol of Forney’s legendary hay industry, which in the early part of the 20th century was internationally famous. The concession and rest room facility in the softball area is a replica of The Pink Elephant, a barbecue restaurant and gathering place for Forney residents in the late 1940s and much of the 1950s. The park is bordered by three miles of paved walking/riding trails. They can be used for walking, jogging, or riding bicycles.
This cache is located on one of the walking paths which is why I classified this as a 3 for difficulty.
