Carlsruhe Station
The posted coordinates will have you
at a Carlsruhe Federation trail plaque outside the old Carlsruhe
Railway Station. The station was built from locally quarried
bluestone and further examples of this building material can be
seen at the nearby Kyneton Station.
This station was also the point where
a branch line deviated to Daylesford. A series of caches CHTR-
Daylesford, CHTR - Musk and CHTR - Bullarto follow the course of
that line.
The station is now leased as a
private residence so please do not enter the property. This cache
is a simple offset with the cache to be found a short distance
away.
When did the branch line
from Carlsruhe to Daylesford open = ABCD
On the 9th April 1903, State
School EFGH was closed
The cache can be found at S
37 18.(ABCD-1415) E 144 29.(EFGH- 1895)
The cache is a 1 litre
plastic container painted black with logbook and swaps. It is
located in a typical geocaching hide.
