TAKE GLOVES THE NETTLES ARE GROWING! The original Abbots Pipe Dream was located at Abbots Ripton just a few miles from here. It was archived after a few years when a problem was encountered.
This cache is near Hemingford Abbots and what used to be the Abbots Shell petrol station just off the A14.( Now and empty space) The cache is in a place that is great for watching the sun go down. On a clear day it gives you a pleasant view across Godmanchester. We have placed the cache here because we like this quiet spot. The large wind turbine that you can see is at Woodgreen the well known animal shelter and is a great place to visit, have a wander around and perhaps partake of a meal or snack in the cafe /restaurant. You may want to park in the Abbots Shell petrol station and walk the short distance to the cache, or you can drive up the narrow road to the spot.
