Geocache Description:

Give a dog some freedom…and they will sprint, frolic and play. When you visit Bruce Pit you will see lots of dogs sprinting, chasing sticks, fetching balls, playing tag with other dogs and running to their owners. What a joy it is to watch a dog run.

This is a simple puzzle only requiring a little bit of physics and a lot of stealth. We are going to play with Keddle, our Lab-Deerhound cross. Keddle loves to run at Bruce Pit. Keddle sits at the entrance until we say “go”. She sprints from the entrance at Bruce Pit to the back gate (700 meters), where she comes to a complete stop. It takes Keddle 4 seconds to achieve her sprint speed of 8 meters per second. It takes her 2 seconds to stop. How long will it take her to travel from the parking lot at Bruce Pit to the back gate and then back again to the parking lot? Subtract your answer from the decimal portions of the posted coordinates. Good Luck sprinting to the cache, but be sure to slow down long enough to watch some dogs at play. Stealth is a huge requirement here…lots of people frequent Bruce Pit and it is not uncommon to see a full parking lot, even on a weekday. This cache is a small loc n’ loc container. It is above dog nose level. There is room for small trades in this container. FTF? you ask…a dog toy for the first dog to find the cache, and an un-activated 2cents GC.
