Geocache Description:

This cache adjoins a historic freedmen's cemetery established after the Civil War. Follow the easy trail from Seven Locks Road, where there is an educational placard.

A 6"x6"x1.5" Lock'n'Lock container has been hidden in a secure location in the bamboo thicket between the Gibson Grove (Moses Hall) A.M.E. Cemetery and the Beltway. The initial contents were two travel bugs and a logbook and pencil.

The cemetery surrounded a church, known as Moses Hall, established by former slaves after the Civil War on land provided by Sarah Gibson. The church building no longer exists, the congregation having moved to a new church nearby on Seven Locks Road (now on the other side of the beltway), which burned down years ago. There is an educational plaque mounted on the side of Seven Locks Road where the old road (now a trail) leads to the cemetery.

Update: The waterlogged logbook has been replaced. BYOP.
