Welcome to the IDY series of caches in Idyllwild County Park. This park has a great trail system that includes easy trails for families and strenuous ones for the more athletic.
You can access these caches from the end of Riverside County Playground Road or the Nature Center entrance off Highway 243. There is a day use fee for this area! Some try to avoid the fee by parking at the end of Delano but I say let’s help support the parks. All IDY caches are within arm’s reach of the trail, no bushwacking in the County Park!
The tall trees will make your GPS will jump around in this area. I took averages to get the best coordinates I could, but your coords might be off depending on how many satellites you can snag. Once you get close, use your geosense and/or the clue.
This trail used to be called the "Horse Trail" but has been renamed to "Perimeter Trail."
Northeast of this cache is a lush riparian setting along Lily Creek known as "The Willows". Here you can see wild roses, columbine, and many other wildflowers in season.
