Hannoverscher Bahnhof (english description below)

Dieser Mystery beginnt am historischen Standort des sogenannten Hannoverschen Bahnhof, wo im zweiten Weltkrieg Sinti, Roma und Juden in den Tod geschickt wurden.

Dieser Mystery hat insgesamt 3 Stationen: Die Anfangskoordinaten, Stage 1 und den Final. Bei Stage 1 handelt es sich um eine Gedenktafel, die sich am nahegelegenen Lohseplatz befindet.
Um zum Final zu gelangen berechne folgende Variablen mit Hilfe des ersten Datums auf der Tafel:

Update vom 18.02.2010: Die Finalkoordinaten haben sich geändert ! Erneutes loggen ist erlaubt und erwünscht.

X = Summe der einzelnen Ziffern von Datum 1 (also sei Datum 1 = TT.MM.JJJJ, dann sei X = T+T+M+M+J+J+J+J)

Peile von Stage 1 in Richtung 3*X+5 Grad , dann findest du in X+4 Metern Entfernung den Cache.

Den Cache habe ich als kinderfreundlich eingestuft, dies resultiert aus der leichten Zugänglichkeit der Stationen für Kinder. Inwieweit das Thema des Caches kindgerecht angesprochen/beantwortet werden sollte, überlasse ich jedem selbst.

Ich habe weiterhin den Cache als "NICHT zugaenglich per Rollstuhl" markiert. Der Cache ist mit dem Auto (Parkplatz am Lohseplatz), dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß erreichbar. Achtung durch die vielen Baustellen, kann es teilweise zu Umwegen kommen, die mensch über Google Earth oder Routerplaner nicht unbedingt sehen kann.

An diesem Platz soll einmal eine Gedenkstätte bis 2017 entstehen. Im Namen der Opfer möge diese zukünftige Stätte ein Mahnmal für alle Menschen sein.

Wie immer gilt:
- alle Stationen (bis auf die Anfangskoordinaten) befinden sich auf
öffentlichem, frei zugänglichen Gelände
- es müssen keine Zäune oder andere Absperrungen überquert werden
- es muß am Final nichts manipuliert werden
- bitte Rücksicht auf die Umgebung nehmen

This Mystery begins at the historic place of the so called "Hannoverscher Bahnhof", from where in World War II Sinti, Roma and Jews were deported to concentration camps.

Dieser Mystery has three stations: the beginning coordinates, Stage 1 and the Final. At Stage 1 there is a memorial tablet near Lohseplatz.
To get to the Final calculate the following Variables while using the first date from the memorial plate:

Update from 02/18/2010: The Final coordinates have changed ! Logging a second time is allowed.

X = sum of all digits from first date (date 1 = DD.MM.YYYY, to calculate X = D+D+M+M+Y+Y+Y+Y)

Bearing of a direction from Stage 1 to 3*X+5 degree in X+4 meters distance is the final.

I have marked this cache as kids friendly. This is due to the easy accessibility of the cache stations. I leave it up to you If you want to tell your kids about the background of the cache. I think not all stations are accessible via wheelchair. This was not tested by a real disabled person. You can get to the cache by car (parking place at Lohseplatz), bike or foot. Attention ! Be careful to choose the correct path to the cache because the Hafencity is a big construction place and Google Earth & Co are not always showing the current situation.

A big memorial place is planned till the year 2017. In commemoration of all the victims may this place be a memorial to all future generations.
