Welcome to
Davidson's Mill Pond Park in South Brunswick
Township, Middlesex County, NJ. This cache will fulfill your
“HOTEL” requirement for the
Central Jersey Checkpoint Challenge.
Davidson's Mill Pond Park is operated by the Middlesex County
Parks System, consisting pf 482 picturesque acres. The pond and the
waterfall are where a mill was once located. The park has a very
popular boat launch ramp and fishing abounds. Also located there is
the
EARTH Center and the
Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex
County (New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station). The
entrance to the park is on Riva Ave.
Given the checkpoint name of
“HOTEL” I just had to make this
cache a TB and Geocoin Hotel. It is a medium cammoed lock-n-lock
starting out with lots of TBs, coins and a pathtag. Please do
not take a loggable item unless you also have one to leave!
There are nice wide maintained trails here. The terrain for this
cache is a little hilly right before you get to GZ, just off one of
the main trails. On a return trip the cache should be quick and
easy to find without a GPS in case you need to drop off that bug or
coin that you've held on to a little too long...
PLEASE NOTE:
- In order to claim one of the 27 CeNeJeGeCa coins that will be
available at the
Central Jersey Checkpoint Challenge (GC1NJAZ) you MUST include
a picture of your signature from EACH of the 26 checkpoint log
books in your log on the Central Jersey Checkpoint Challenge
cache.
The above requirement is not necessary to log or claim FTF for
this cache. FTF prize for this cache is a Central Jersey Geocaching
pathtag! NOTE: Congrats to tmmiller and
gragedanwyn on co-FTF!

Central Jersey Geocachers are sponsoring the Central Jersey
Checkpoint Challenge series. This challenge series is intended to
take geocachers on a tour of Central New Jersey (loosely defined as
north of 195 and south of 78) while finding caches placed by
Central Jersey geocachers. On the tour we hope you will find
Central Jersey an interesting and beautiful part of our great
state.
This challenge series includes 26 checkpoint caches (naming
based on the NATO phonetic alphabet) and the final -
Central Jersey Checkpoint Challenge (GC1NJAZ). The 26
checkpoints do not have to be completed in any particular order.

Hidden within the 26 checkpoint caches are puzzle pieces
(numbers to be used to calculate the coordinates of the final
Central Jersey Checkpoint Challenge cache). The puzzle piece
located in "CJCC: Hotel" is taped to the underside of the cache
container lid. Please write the information down and DO NOT REMOVE
it from the cache. It is appreciated if you bring your own paper -
don't take any out of the log book.
