Geocache Description:

You are looking for a large plastic container

It's not well known but from the mid 1920's to the late 1940's this was the site of a Public School. It burned down in the late 1940's. The only thing remaining is an old cement storm shelter. This property is now part of the lake thunderbird parks area.

When my mother's family moved to this area in the late 20's where my Grandfather began peanut farming. She was very young and attended this school for one year. It was a one room "All Grades" 1-12 school established for the area farmers to send thier kids to school without sending them to the "Unheard of" distance to Noble Public Schools. After just one year, my Grandmother convenced Gramps to drive them to school in Noble (Which at least had seperate classes for each grade).

The school burnt sometime in the late 1940's and was never rebuilt. My family owns the bell from the school. Seems when the school burnt, an aunt went to the site and recovered the bell, and it has been passed down the family every since.

I have hid the Cache south of the old storm celler. it would be to dangerous to require you to enter that old thing!

The FTF prise is a Lottery scratch ticket.

Beware! Very much Natural grown Barb Wire in the area!
