A remote location on the West Pennine Moors - gateway to many fine walks
The cache is located at the site of the former 'Grouse cottage', now long abandoned and in ruin, if you lookaround you will see the roof to the old toilet building is in great condition,also nearby if you look is the ceramic coated front off the old cooker, no doubt used to cook hearty meals on the moors with the wind howling away outside! The views from here are quite superb, Jubilee tower can be seen clearly as well as many other places on the horizon, a superb spot. The cache is a good size and is a welcome stop off point for your trackable items, coins and TB's welcome, I have left quite a few in there to start it off, please feel free to swap items and leave whatever you like but please, as a polite request leave some in return for other fellow cachers to find, The old ruins stand out so will be easy to find, a great stop off point towards other caches further on on the moor.Have fun and enjoy the views !
