Geocache Description:

Wee T is my 5 year old daughter. Even before she was old enough to walk, she braved a summer snow squall at one of her daddy’s favorite alpine fishing spots. She has endured a 100 degree hike across a barren ridge…to take a dip in a refreshing swimming hole on the other side. Her little feet have hiked quite a few Sierra miles now- the rest spent on her daddy’s shoulders. By no means are our hikes a march… we stop for several breaks & her daddy tries to show her all of the different tracks & describe the animals that made them. He does his best to point out different flowers & trees although half the time he doesn’t know exactly what their names are, but he tries. She is a trooper for sure & daddy’s little hiking buddy.
This is her Treasure Cache. She has wanted to create & hide one for a while now & today she found the place where she wanted to place it. It’s not a hard spot to get to and by no means an extravagant location, but it’s really close to our place & a mostly level hike all of the way. You will enjoy wild flowers in the spring & plenty of shade in the summer. There is a pretty good view of the South Fork & you can certainly hear it when the water is roaring.
Wee T chose all of the goodies to place inside, so there is a lot of kid stuff in there.
Please hike in pairs if you are going in the area at dawn or dusk, some wildlife of the growling type could be out & about during those times- they will most likely be more afraid of you than you are of them but you never know when one is taken by surprise. Like many brushy foothill slopes, there is some PO but if you stick to the center of the trail, you will be fine.
A special kudos is due to Celtic DreamCacher & Geotigger as we would not have known about this road/trail without having their caches on it. And obviously to Richard & Arlene Wilkinson for donating a portion of their property for all of our benefit, Thanks!

Cache is on the upward side of the road, next to the game trail.
