There often just isn’t enough time to do all of the caching you
would like to do, what with family, work and other commitments.
This series of puzzle caches is intended to celebrate those special
days throughout the year when you get that much-needed extra time
off. For each cache in this series, assume North = 43 and West =
78, and write down the bonus number or instructions in each cache.
(The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but is within 2.5 km.)
For college and university students, March Break is a great time
to review course notes, evaluate academic progress and plan for
exams . . . okay, it’s also a great time to travel to someplace
warm and party with friends. Seven high school buddies who went off
to study in seven different Canadian provinces have gotten together
on their March Break, and have had a real blowout celebration. Now
that the party has ended, however, there is a huge mess, as shown
in the jumble of letters below. They need to collect their gear
(the letters spelling the name of their college/university) in
order, starting with the one who studies furthest west and ending
with the one who studies furthest east. Once you have identified
where they go to school and helped them pull together their stuff,
you will find some leftover material that no one remembers
bringing. (Yes, it was that good a party!) Assign the usual values
to each remaining letter (A=1, B=2, etc.) and you will have the
missing coordinates.
