Geocache Description:

The 5th
World Wide Flash Mob.
May 2nd, 2009.
Are you ready to be a part of Geocaching history?!?

Its that time to gather again for a World Wide Flash Mob event! Bookmark this cache to catch any update as they are posted. The event is taking place at the Loma Vista Park in North Spokane.

This flash mob event is part of a much larger effort by geocachers around the world. At 10:00 a.m., PST, other World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) events across the country and around the world will occur. Come and be a part of this epic event.

If you haven't participated in a WWFM event before, you're in for a treat! We'll meet at the posted coordinates and participate in a little kooky behavior for exactly fifteen minutes, then promptly disassemble. You'll probably wind up with some kind of post-event get-together for the usual eating (it is breakfast time after all), lie-swapping, eating (it's almost lunch time too), caching, eating activities (good time for brunch too), so please post in your "WILL ATTEND" log if you would like to host an after event gathering!

9:45 -9:59 a.m. - Participants: Wait patiently and/or stroll around the area. There is street parking on three sides of Loma Vista Park. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is given. As much as you can, act like a muggle, pretend not to know each other or give any indication that something is about to happen. At 9:59 a.m. converge on ground zero. The Flash Mob Event has begun.

10:00 a.m. - Log sheets will be handed out. Bring your own writing instrument. Sign individual log sheets and drop them in the collection box. Mingle. Trade travel bugs and coins. Share stories. Brag. Take pictures. Make arrangements to meet elsewhere, to eat or to find the various caches in the nearby area.

10:05 a.m. - The meal will be handed out. We're sure for many this will be the closest thing to breakfast you will have had thus far. Gotta love those Hersey Kisses!!

10:08 a.m. - Everyone at past events such as this seems to like the "freeze" and freeze in place. We will do this for two whole minutes. Doesn't seem like much time, until you actually have to do it.

10:10 a.m. - Drawing will take place for the FTF credit. Also drawing for any prizes which we may have to give away.

One lucky cacher will walk away with this cool event coin!!

Congratulations to chadli for winning the title of FTF!!

Congratulations to scareway for winning the WWFM V geo-coin!!

Congratulations to DreamCacheR for winning the micro cache container!!

Congratulations to Jesse Bee for winning the preform cache container!!

Congratulations to Team Nimrod for winning the small loc-n-lock cache container!!

Congratulations to kidvegas19 and Big_Don for winning the micro swag balls!!

10:12 a.m. - Assemble for a group photo, and assemble FAST, we only have three more minutes. Listen to the photographer for directions. Group photo is taken. (THANK YOU TEAM9005 FOR VOLUNTEERING TO BE THE PHOTOGRAPHER!!)

10:14 a.m. - One minute warning is called "It is now 10:14!" Prepare to leave.

Last minute addition to the schedule: Signing "Happy Birthday" to Darth Trevor!! He tried to hide, but even bleaching his hair didn't help as we still found him!!

10:15 a.m. EXACTLY - Wait for it ... then LEAVE the area (right at 10:15 a.m.)! Meet elsewhere if desired. The log sheet bucket will be packed up. If your log’s not in the bucket, you can't log the event.

If everything goes right we will have lots of people coming out of nowhere and gathering for 15 minutes, holding a geocaching event and then disappearing…This will be lots of fun and maybe even raise a few muggle eyebrows by the neighbors near the park!

***Credit is given to other WWFM web pages for the content.***

Be sure to sign a log card and put it in the bucket for credit for attending this event.

***IF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN ASSISTING WITH THIS EVENT PLEASE EMAIL MARTIN 5. WE CAN ALWAYS USE PRIZES, AND SOMEONE TO MAN THE LOG BUCKET.***

Thank you Cardinal Flyer, Caitlyn and Etux of Team Nimrod for donating one of their famous cache containers to be a give-a-way! (It's even complete with a rare collectable coin for the FTF inside!)

Thank you to The Pirates of the St. Joe for donating a small lock-n-lock container, fully stocked and ready to go!!

Thank you to Dragon of Team9005 for volunteering to be the official event photographer!

Thank you to chadli for volunteering to be the official head-counter!

Thank you to dmagoo for assisting with handing out the log sheets!!
