BCBC--Bare Cove Birthday Cache.
Every day is someone's birthday! What better way to spend your birthday, or any day for that matter, than to hike or bike to a cache! This cache is a rather large ammo can. It was decorated by the kids at the Western Mass Winter Warm-up IV. Thanks to them for a festive container.
Located in Bare Cove Park in Hingham. The park was a WWI&II U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot. Many of the bunkers are gone but some still remain. It borders the Weymouth Back River and offers views of the river, marsh land, and many bird species. There are many paved areas for strollers; however the cache area is NOT not stroller friendly. There are also many off road bike trails as well as woodland and marshland trails.
