Geocache Description:

A calcium bottle in a plastic bag. There is plenty of parking nearby.



Man! This used to be an interesting place. The ramshackle collection of wooden buildings. The wood plank floors. The rows upon rows of appliances.

The garish and loud salesmen who would give you a good haggle but in the end you felt you got a great deal and it was probably the lowest price in the city.

Time came that the collection of buildings finally got destroyed by fire in 1987 and they build this fine and state of the art building you see here now. Just wasn't the same and redirecting to their store on north Central Ave for a few years they finally went under.

Those were the days! Another bit of trivia. This shopping area is in a town called Maywood Park and it encompasses the race track and the shopping area and the retirement complex. Mighty small as I think some wheelers and dealers wanted to avoid some taxes.
