A pleasant hike along a trail that offers many types of views. From scenic vistas to neat rock outcroppings in the woods. This cache happens to be placed not to far from an outcropping. If you approach from the parking area below, the terrain is not bad at all.
The name of this cache reflects our experience when we hid the cache.
Brian b and I hiked this neat section of the Long Path on what ended up being a hot day for late April. I suspect that played a part in the level of insect activity we encountered.
The black flies were out in force today. Any time we stopped for a moment, the buggers were on us in a flash. It made finding caches tough and it made hiding them even tougher. Thankfully, while they are common to the area, they are not always this bad.
So, come on out into the woods, enjoy a hike and find a few caches. There are plenty along the trail. Oh, and having some bug spray might just help.
