Travel Bug & Geocoin Mobilization Ceremony

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, an Event Cache will be held at World Cup of Coffee & Tea, 1740 NW Glisan St, Portland, OR 97209. Hosted by Bramasoleiowa, a member of the Military Association of GeoCachers. All Geocachers are welcome and invited to attend.
This event will include not only the standard Geocacher Meet & Greet with trackables discovery and exchange, but will also include the formation of Alpha Company, 1st Trackables Battalion, 41st Brigade to mobilize with the 41st (Oregon National Guard) and deploy to Iraq.

Ground rules for the 1st Trackables Battalion:

1. Always Place The Mission First
If your trackable has a specific mission to return to in the Pacific Northwest, envelopes will be available at the event to write down special instructions for the trackable's redeployment.
Bramasoleiowa will maintain a cache in Iraq and will host event caches in Iraq for trackables to be found or discovered by other geocachers

2. Never Leave A Fallen Comrade
No trackable is to be left in Iraq.
Trackables will redeploy through 3 means: 1. cachers that find them while in Iraq, 2. by mail to the Pacific Northwest or 3. by mail to the location of another member of the MAGC.

Rough Timeline for 1st Trackables Battalion:

Mobilization is the act of assembling and making both troops and supplies ready for war.
The Oregon National Guard will mobilize for deployment in the week after this event.
