Bellbird Song Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Ozibags: Had planned to replace but I'm now living a long way from the cache site and there is a possibility the cache was removed by an over-enthusiastic park ranger who would just remove any replacement. So, I'll archive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a nice spot to stop and listen to the bellbirds. The proper name of these native birds is Bell Miner; they are related to the noisy miner. In large colonies they make a continual 'tink' sound hence their name. They seem to prefer wet Eucalypt forests near rainforest margins, such as this site below Cunningham's Gap. See if you can spot them in the trees. They are an olive green colour with red legs, and a bit smaller than the noisy miner.

The cache is a short walk from the rest area along a track. No bushbashing needed.
