I remember coming to the original zoo as a child in the '50s. Even though there were more exotic animals to watch, the ones that captured my attention were the beautiful yet feisty peacocks that roamed the grounds freely. They cawed and paraded for me, seemingly in protest to my prying eyes. I loved that these regal birds had noticed me. It has grown from the original concrete blocks and iron bars to the new location across the street with wonderful natural habitats. Take a stroll and 'Explore Your Wild Side'!! Take a tour of the Zoo. Enjoy the animals and interactive exhibit.
