Ol' Barky Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

waterskippers: The old oak tree this one has been hiding in is soon doomed. Time to search for a new niche and different style of cache. Sorry to see this one go, it has been my favorite hide so far.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Newell Park, located among the grassy hills and oak trees. The biggest task here will be to avoid muggles. Log book only in cache, bring your own pencil or pen.

The camo for this cache will be larger than the cache itself. This is a busy park, popular with dog walkers and locals. On weekends, you may see a group of local high school/college students acting out swordplay in medieval outfits or playing a form of volleyball with only their feet.

According to a conversation with the St. Paul Parks, the hills in this park are actually fill left from the construction of the train yards just to the North. For those with an interest in old buildings, you may enjoy the park building in the center of the park.

Be aware that there is a local park watch group. Please follow the posted park hours. Cache approved by St. Paul Parks and Rec.
