The cache is named
because at this point Crowden Great Brook forms a U shape so the
Pennine way crosses it twice.
Beware than after
heavy rainfall the brook can become a raging torrent and it may not
be possible to cross it. In that case, the only way to get to this
cache is from the east.
The quickest and easiest
way to get to this cache is to park at Crowden on the A628 Woodhead
Pass and pick up the Pennine way, it's only about three miles from
there. When we placed this cache, we parked at Holme Moss and took
in
Black Hill and
Slidens Moss on the way.
