An ammo can hidden near the blue trail. Fairly easy hike with some elevations.
Another well kept secret in Guilford is the Nut Plains Woods. Access to it is from the right-away between two houses on Cindy Lane at N 41 19.241 W 072 40.504 (recommended) or from Broad Hill Circle N 41 19.533 W 072 40.269 . You can print a trail map here: http://www.guilfordlandtrust.org/npwmap2.html
It's not a very large preserve, but it has plenty to offer: Rocks, cliffs, vistas and a meandering creek with several little bridges.
I followed the white trail to the red to the blue, but you may choose a different path. The cache is hidden near the blue trail and should be easy to find. Use the hint only if you need to.
If you decide to explore the park further, be forewarned, that the white trail going left from the entrance, at some point goes along a cliff within a few feet from a free fall of at least a 100 feet ! Do not attempt this part with small kids or animals and/or in slippery conditions. The rest of the trails are fairly easy.
Congratulations to MessSGT for the FTF !
