miPod: After many attempts to locate the duplicate cache containers (each with full and weathered old log books) that seem to be popping up in the GZ (courtesy of the grounds crew, who may have buried one only to have it rediscovered and replaced elsewhere in the GZ by a well-meaning cacher), I've been unable to locate either cache container.
While my normal approach would be to quickly replace this one, the ongoing issues created by full logs (and the subsequent reports by cachers who found the old missing container that "the log is full", even though it is brand new in the actual container) found in duplicate cache containers mysteriously surfacing in the GZ from time to time, the fact that I no longer have quick access to the GZ, and the fact that there are plans on the near-horizon to remodel and majorly renovate the park are leading me to close this cache out and make plans for one nearby that will provide a different perspective and challenge (and should remain unscathed by the coming renovations), while still being accessible to travelers from nearby Reagan National and those staying in local hotels.
Thanks for all of the finds and enjoyment of quiet urban gem! It was my first, and I'll always remember the fun had by the folks who found it and enjoyed a park I often found myself hanging out in on Sunday afternoons.
