In the Dewdrop Range above Red Point.
This impressive viewpoint can be accessed by backroads when
roadsare dry. Alternately, cachers can mountain bike or hike to the
spot. The cache was set by climbing up from the Lake on foot, but
it would be a lot easier to stay high in the Dewdrop. There is a
junction at N50 45.675, W120 39.365. The lower route goes down to
Red Point and the upper winds its way above gullies to the top of
the ridge which angles down to Kamloops Lake. This is the likely
route of the HBC Brigade Trail. The road continues on down to
Kamloops Lake on its way to Jaleslie, Painted Bluffs, and Copper
Creek. Watch for peregrien falcons nesting in the cliffs and
soaring on the thermals.
