Located on The Missaukee Nature Trail. You'll have to walk through part of the trails to find it so don't give up easily. Enjoy the beautiful native gardens along the way along with interpretive maps and benches to rest. You are welcome to come to the office and pick up a complete map with trail descriptions. The beautiful garden of native plants here is a nice example of a "Pollinator Garden" Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. Without the actions of pollinators agricultural economies, our food supply, and surrounding landscapes would collapse. For more info see www.pollinator.org. Also visit other pollinator gardens in the area: the Rain Garden on the south side of the library in Cadillac on Lake Street, the Garden for Wings in McBain located just east of the High School, and the Natural Lakeshore Garden on the north shore of Lake Cadillac at the west end of the Keith McKellop Walkway. Be kind to the plants and flowers; we need them.
