Novac: Well, this one has been out in the wild for 5 years now with 71 logged finds. Due to the issue with the ink being all over the cache, I figured I would pick the container up today while I was hiking through this park. Thanks to everyone for hiking through the muck to visit this one!

Geocache Description:

A patriotic letterbox hybrid in Sleeth. Bring your stamp!

Cache information
This is a letterbox hybrid cache, which means there aren't really any trade items in the cache (though there is room if you so desire). There is a stamp, a stamp pad or two, some wipes to clean the stamp, and a log book. Please do not remove any of these items from the cache!
Directions
There are two ways to enter Sleeth Park. Take a look at the additional waypoints below for the two parking coordinates.
  1. Park next to Meals on Wheels. Once you park, you will see the baseball field. Cross the field (or go around if there's a game on, of course) and enter the trail that begins next to the bench.
  2. Park on Sleeth Mill Circle. Park in front of the bench and sign. Behind the sign you will see a strip of wood chips, which is the beginning of the trail. Follow the path back to the Sleeth Park trail.
Do not attempt to access this cache from Cora Ave/Kennedy Ln. There are private properties lining the street and the only legal way to the cache is through the Sleeth Park trails as outlined above.
Warnings
  • Wear boots. The path is often very wet and soggy.
  • I have seen snakes two of the three times I visited, though they seem to be small "happy" snakes as far as I can tell.
  • I may have had a tick on me when I exited the area. I was doing a lot of off-trailblazing, so that may not have helped.
