Something about Someshwar Waterfall:

And something about Shri Balaji:

Balaji is a form of the Hindu god Vishnu in India. Balaji is also known as Venkateshwara or Srinivasa. Venkateshwara means the Lord who destroys the sins.

The legend of Balaji is following:
Once some rishis (rishi is a seer o a poet-sage) began to perform a sacrifice on the banks of the Ganges. A sage visited them and asked them, why they were performing the sacrifice and who would be pleased by it. Not being able to answer the question, the rishis approached Sage Bhrigu.

Bhrigu decided to visit the three most important gods (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) to find the answer. But Brahma (the creator and god of knowledge) was absorbed in reciting the vedas and wasn´t aware of Bhrigu at all. The sage left, disappointed. Shiva (the destroyer) was enjoying lovemaking with his wife Parvati and he didn´t notice Bhirgu either. When Parvati cried out, noticing the stranger, Shiva tried to destroy the sage, but in vain. Bhrigu cursed him and left.

Vishnu was in deep meditation. Finding that Lord Vishnu also did not notice him, the sage was infuriated and kicked the Lord on His chest. But Vishnu managed to pacify the sage, apologised to him, talked to him and Bhirgu saw, that Vishnu was the greates of the three gods. And so he told to the rishis.

But Lakshmi (goddess of good luck), Vishnu´s wife, was angered by the action of her Lord in apologising to Bhrigu who committed an offence. Out of anger she left. After the departure of Lakshmi, Vishnu took abode in an ant-hill under a tamarind tree, meditating for the return of Lakshmi, without food or sleep.

Taking pity on Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva decided to assume the forms of a cow and its calf to serve Vishnu. Surya, the Sun God, informed Lakshmi of this and requested her to assume the form of a cowherdess and sell the cow and calf to the king of the country, where Vishnu resided. The king bought the cow and its calf and sent them to graze near the ant-hill, along with his herd of cattle. Discovering Vishnu in the ant-hill, the cow provided milk, and thus fed the god.

Meanwhile, at the palace, the cow had no milk and the queen wanted the cowherd to find out why. The cowherd followed the cow, hid himself behind a bush and discovered the cow emptying her udder over the ant-hill. Frightened and angered, the cowherd aimed a blow with his axe on the head of the cow. However, Vishnu rose from the ant-hill to receive the blow and save the cow. When the cowherd saw the god bleed, he fell down and died of shock.

The cow returned to the palace, with blood stains all over her body. The King followed her to the scene of the incident and found the cowherd lying dead on the ground near the ant-hill. While he stood wondering how it had happened, Vishnu rose from the ant-hill and cursed the king saying that he would become an Asura (demon) in one of his next lives, because of the fault of his servant. The king said he was innocent and Vishnu answered, that the king would be reborn as Akasa Raja and that the curse would end when Vishnu himself will be adorned with a crown presented by Akasa Raja.

Sometime later the king died and in his next life he was born as Akasa Raja, who belonged to the Lunar race, and was ruling over Thondamandalam. Akasa Raja had no heirs, therefore he wanted to perform a sacrifice and pray to the gods. As part of the sacrifice, he was ploughing the fields when his plough turned up a lotus in the ground. On examining the lotus, the king Akasa found a child in it, a small girl. The king was happy to find a child even before he performed a sacrifice and carried the girl to his place and gave her to his queen. Because she was found in a lotus, the king named the small girl Padmavati. And she grew up and was beautiful.

One day Vishnu - incarnated as Lord Srinivasa - was hunting a wild elephant in the forests of Thondamandalam. In the elephant's pursuit, Srinivasa was led into a garden, where princess Padmavati and her maids were picking flowers. The sight of the elephant frightened the princess and her maids. But the elephant immediately turned around and disappeared into the forest. Lord Srinivasa was following on horseback and saw the frightened maidens. However, he had to run because of the stones thrown at him by the maids, who were afraid of a stranger and wanted to protect their princess.

Srinivasa fell in love with Padmavati at first sight and knew he wanted nothing in the world, only to marry the beautiful princess. Meanwhile, Akasa Raja and his queen Dharanidevi were anxious about the health of their daughter Padmavati. They learnt about Padmavati's love for Srinivasa. Tehy consulted the sages and in the end arranged the wedding. So Lord Srinivasa wed princess Padmavati and received the crown from Akasa, thus blessing Akasa Raja and breaking the curse.

Together Srinivasa and Padmavati lived for all eternity, while goddess Lakshmi forgave them, understanding the commitments of Vishnu. Balaji-Srinivasa-Vishnu and Padmavati are considered patrons of ideal marriage.

Balaji is depicted with dark skin, holding a chakram and his eyes are covered.
