The River
City Geocaching (& Dining) Society (RCGDS) would like to extend
an invitation to you
and your family to join us on May 9th - 10am to 4pm in
beautiful historic Coloma for the day.
Come join
us for our 6th annual picnic in Coloma.
The day will be filled with lots of great people, good
conversation and old-fashioned fun.
If you have any games you would like to organize or bring to share
please do so!
A hot grill will be provided for barbecuing along with
paper plates, napkins and plastic forks and
spoons.
Please bring:
1) Your own meat (or meat substitute) to grill
2) Your own drinks
3) A potluck dish of your choice to share
4) A folding chair (optional)
I will be
starting the charcoal for the grill around 11:30 am.
The
Marshall Gold Discovery State Historical Park will be open along
with the museums. Fishing and swimming are permitted in the river
however, panning for gold is not. There are several
geocaches in the area, as well. I strongly recommend you take some
time to visit some of the many features of this wonderful
park.
A must
find local cache is
Jeo-rassic Park. Those of you who attend
You are invited ... might recognize the
container from the parking lot in front of the reception.
Plan a little time before or after the event for the side trip to
find this cache.
Jeo-rassic Park is a premium cache so only premium members can log
it.
RCGDS has reserved the North Beach Group Picnic Area
which is just north of, and on the same side of the road as,
Sutter’s Saw Mill. The exact coordinates are posted above. We
will have the picnic area during the regular park hours which
