Carrizozo has an airport
Well away from the main flow of life in Carrizozo is the Carrizozo Airport and nearby Lincoln County Jail. I would have liked to put a cache at the Jail because Lincoln County jails are famous since Billy the Kid made his visit a while back. However an active jail just doesn't seem like a good location.
The airport is actually not quite international in size as you'll see. This cache is out by the end of the runway. It's a container experiment. Altoids tin's rust out and are flooded right away in Florida. However everything that doesn't get muggled, blow away, or burried seems to last forever out here. So when my sister emptied an Altoids tin I had to put it to use.
The cache is easily accessible by paved road. Minimal in contents, just a log and a FTF buck. You'll need a pen.
