Open House
It's been twenty years since we cleared the land and built our
home here. The homestead helped us raise five wonderful children
and supported us in our religious pursuits. There have been a lot
of changes in that time, but, all in all, it’s been a good ride. As
you search for the cache let me draw your attention to three
things; The Fish Pole, The Tricacheanator Monument, and The
Mailbox.
The Fish Pole
As our children grew up and left the nest we would sometimes become
very lonely, so we erected this pole as a reminder of where they
were living. Now everyday as we return home it serves as a visual
reminder of how much we love them and as we pray for them the fish
point in the direction the prayer should go.
The Tricacheanator Monument (GC1P5JV)
This monument stands next to the cache as a symbol of the gift
geocaching has given us. This sport has brought the Netinator clan
and the Fargnot clan closer together, introduced us to many new
friends, and given you a path to follow. Take a few minutes to read
the name of the teams that have completed the Tricachealon ordeal –
they are friends. The bike seat is off my first real bike which my
sister gave me, the boots are swampers that visited the confluence,
the paddle was found on a small lake in Quetico during a Boy Scout
trip, and the pole was puchased at Home Depot which supports our
remodeling projects.
The Mailbox
The mailbox was the original container for the first homestead
cache, it still stands as a symbol of the homestead we have grown
to love over the years. It also serves to remind us of the changing
world we live in and helps to draw our thoughts towards the
important things of this life; our family, our faith, and our
friends. Welcome to our sanctuary and may God bless you in your
efforts.
