Ce circuit peut se faire
conjointement avec "Autour du Pic de l’Ours : Le Nichoir" qui
se situe sur le chemin du retour. Les points de départ sont
nombreux (Carte IGN 3544ET Fréjus-St-Raphael) et dépendent de la
volonté de chacun d’effectuer une plus ou moins longue
distance, selon ses moyens de locomotion.
Les différentes routes aboutissent, pour la plupart, sur le parking
du Col Notre-Dame (waypoint n°1) où commence la balade pédestre.
Emprunter le chemin caillouteux (balisage jaune) au poteau de
signalisation indiquant Pic de l’Ours (40 min) et Dent de
l’Ours (20 min) jusqu’à la cache. Depuis ce bloc de
rhyolite, on pourra admirer un paysage magnifique allant du
Mercantour à la presqu’île de St-Tropez. Pour continuer le
circuit après la cache, revenir sur ses pas sur quelques mètres et
prendre le chemin montant vers le Réémetteur de télécommunications,
qu’on contournera par la droite.
Le retour vers le parking du Col Notre-Dame peut s’effectuer
par la route goudronnée. Cependant, les intrépides pourront mener
une descente "sportive" en empruntant –schuss- un sentier,
utilisant souvent la coulée des ruissellements, et qui démarre
perpendiculairement à la route à quelques 40 mètres de la clôture
du réémetteur.

Fréjus-St-Raphael- which depend on the desire to make some effort,
according to the means of transport.
Most of the different ways get to the place named “Col
Notre-Dame", from where the ramble starts (waypoint #1). Follow the
rocky path (yellow lines) from the signpost saying Pic de
l’Ours (40 min) - Dent de l’Ours (20 min) until the
cache. The Dent de l’Ours is a huge rhyolite bloc, from where
the eyes can sweep over an amazing landscape from the Massif of
Mercantour to the St-Tropez Peninsula. To carry on with the trip,
retrace one’s steps for a few feet, and follow the path
climbing towards the relay transmitter, which will be skirted to
the right.
The return to Col Notre-Dame can be done following the blacktop
road. However, the dauntless walkers can follow the sloping
footpath, which schusses down perpendicular to the road at some 40
yards from the relay fence. Take care: the path often follows the
run-off ways that make a very rocky lane, difficult for mountain
bikes.
