Geocache Description:

NO: Utenfor BBB. Ikke kjørevei foreløpig, men god gang- og rullestolvei. Boksen er på bare 30 ml, og rommer noen få, små bytteting.
EN: Outside the biomedical building. Not possible by car, but wheelchair OK. The cache is only 30 ml, and there is only room for a few small trade items.

Bygg for biologiske basalfag

Bygg for biologiske basalfag er tegnet av arkitektfirmaet Narud-Stokke-Wiig A/S, og ble tatt i bruk i 2003. Bygget inneholder først og fremst Institutt for biomedisin. Dette instituttet hører til Det medisinsk-odontologiske fakultet, og her gis det undervisning i grunnleggende fag til blant andre medisin-, tannlege-, ernærings-, tannpleie- og farmasistudenter. Det er også svært stor forskningsaktivitet ved instituttet. I tillegg inneholder bygget deler av Det psykologiske fakultet, særlig grupper som arbeider med biologisk psykologi.

Dette er en del av det store området som huser hele Haukeland universitetssykehus og flere bygninger som hører til Universitetet i Bergen. Nabobygningen i syd, med gul og orange fasade, er Laboratoriebygget til sykehuset. Innflytting har skjedd i 2009.

This building houses the Department of Biomedicine, which is the department of basic science of the Faculty of medicine and dentistry. The department does biomedical research, and teaches among others students in medicine, dentistry, nutrition and pharmacy. A part of the building is occupied by the Department of biological psychology.

This is the area of Haukeland University Hospital and in addition several buildings belonging to the University of Bergen. The yellow/orange building to the south is the Laboratory building of the hospital, which was opened in 2009.
