Geocache Description:

neat spot to stop (especially in spring) traveling between kern valley and bakersfield.

-park at cow flat creek turnout on right if heading east on 178(always be careful pulling over in canyon, especially in short turnouts like this one)
-steep terrain but on trail up to last 30-40'.
-checkout flume, rock alcove with fire pit and awesome wildflowers in spring. lots of miner's lettuce and blue dicks(both edible)watch for stinging nettle near creek

-follow trail to flume and continue up (not towards bakersfield or across flume to other side of ravine)
-stop where picture was taken, climb up to rock pictured and good luck.

please note:
my GPSr is old and coordinates can only be considered accurate enough to find turnout. please use clues in description to find cache until FTF can post waypoint for confirmation.
