With the help of Troop 38 from Randolph AFB, TX, Hud4-Z built four bat habitats as part of his Eagle project. These habitats have been placed along the shores of Canyon Lake fairly close to the dam. The bats that live in these habitats help the environment in numerous ways including keeping the insect population in check making your visit to Canyon Lake much more pleasurable! 
Note: If dam access is closed and you don't want to wait until it is opened, I have listed the GZ cordinates in the Additional Hints section so you can find the cache. Now for the puzzle: The coordinates bring you to a bridge connecting the dam to the generator intake tower. Here you will find clues which will lead you to the actual cache which is at N 29 51.abc W 098 11.xyz. To solve, first note the lake level gauge on the generator intake tower just out from your position (binoculars or a camera with a zoom lens will be helpful to read the guage). To find abc, subtract 225 from the highest marking (highest number) on the gauge. For the longitude, x is the tenths of a mile you will cover if you walk completely across the dam, gate to gate. Hint: The distance is on a sign on the gate you walked around to enter the dam. Finally, from your position you will notice three vehicle guard rails. The total number of wooden posts supporting these three guard rails is yz.
