Geocache Description:

The cache is located off the Kuaokala Trail near the Kaena Point Sattelite Tracking station (KPTS). It includes either needing a permit and coming up the KPTS access road on the Kawa'ula side or hiking/running up Kealia Trail then hiking /running Kuaokala Trail. Just bring PLENTY of water.

http://www.state.hi.us/dlnr/dofaw/pubs/index.html#campingpermit. Go to the Department of Forestry and get a map of the trail. The cache itself is small and can hold small trade items. There are AWESOME views of the Waianae Coast from up top at 1547'. The trail can be a little hairy at some points so I recommend keiki be watched at all times. The cache is also towards the beginning of the trail on the KPTS side about .6 miles in. I forgot to measure it;) This is third as part of my Peacock 54 caches because this is at the 6 mile and 32 miles points during the race. Anyway talk story later and Jah Bless.
