Come join us for a cache in trash out event on the campus of Tinker
Swiss Cottage. The campus showcases a home built in the 1800s by
Robert Tinker on the bluff overlooking Kent Creek. Adding to the
charm of this estate is a suspension bridge crossing the
creek
Robert Tinker was a founder of the Rockford Park District. Tinkers
Cottage still contains the Tinker family's original furnishings,
artwork and personal diaries, and is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places
WHEN: Saturday April 11th, 2009 from 9am to 12 noon
WHERE: Meet in the campus parking area.We will be picking up trash
on the campus from the banks of Kent Creek to the boundary of the
property.
SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED: Dress appropriately for a work day. Bring
work gloves and wear boots.
The CITO group will be given a complimentary tour of the cottage
immediately after the event as a thank you for participating.
