Geocache Description:

Clearwater Cache is one of three place in the first 1.5 miles of the Clear Water Trail located on the way to Yellowstone National Park from Cody, Wyoming.

This is grizzly bear country, so be sure to take the necessary precautions. You may have to cross the creek a time or two to get to the cache site, but there are lots of places this may be accomplished with minimal trouble.

Clearwater Cache is the Second cache to find and is located aproximately 1.3 miles from the trail head along a mountain creek. You may choose to cross the stream twice or take a shortcut accross the rocks to the right of the trail, your choice but be careful.

There is also one more cache placed by Helaman further up the trail, don't forget to get that one while you are here. Bring a picnic and enjoy your time at the cache sites.

The cache container is a 30 Caliber ammo box hidden in a pile of rocks just off the trail to the left on the edge of the creek bank. It has this and that enclosed and a few travel bugs to start with.

You will note this area was burned out last year by the biggest forest fire in National Forest Service History. Have fun and enjoy...
