Geocache Description:

Scenic overlook near The Rower, County Kilkenny.

This overlook is situated on the southeastern slopes of Brandon Hill, which is the highest point in Kilkenny county.

Looking out to the east you will be able to see the Barrow river, which is the boundary between Carlow and Kilkenny counties. The Blackstairs Mountains form a backdrop stretching towards the northeast.

If you look to the southeast you should be able to spot the ancient monastic settlement of St.Mullins on the Carlow side of the river.

This cache site is about 4km north of The Rower village on the R705 road.

The cache is a small cylindrical camouflaged container. BYOP.
You may need to stand on part of the wet area in order to reach behind the covering of foliage that is now covering the cache spot.
