Welcome to our first multi/puzzle cache. This is a three
stage puzzle type cache which will take you to several locations
around Beaufort, SC. The final cache is an ammo can, located on
public land. The above coordinates will not take you to the cache.
Instead, they will bring you to a parking lot close to stage 1.
Parking is metered Monday – Saturday.
Stage 1: Visit the Beaufort water front park, located close
to a “park and grab” cache:
Down by the River (GC1CHAX). You do not have to find this cache
for stage 1, but while you’re here, you might as well. You
know you’re addicted.
At the waterfront park, there are several monuments describing the
history of Beaufort through the years. Find these monuments and
answer the following questions:
1. In what year did a great storm come ashore at the high tide?
Answer: _ E _ _
2. When did senator Strom Thurmond dedicate the Henry C. Chambers
waterfront park? Answer: May I , 1979
3. Find a sign about North Atlantic right whales, located somewhere
between the monuments and “Down by the River.” What is
the adult length of these whales? Answer: _ J feet
Stage 2: Find the cache
By The Watchtower (GC1P49R). You will find a card with the
remaining missing numbers: B, D and F.

Cache is located on public land and is accessible 24/7. The cache
is not on any private or government owned land. Please use stealth,
especially on weekends, as location is a frequent muggle gathering
place.
