Small, simple cache located near the ancient Ridgeway Trail in wiltshire. Easy climb to location, slightly more rough underfoot near cache hiding spot. Watch out for rabbit holes!
Situated on Charlbury Hill featuring a trig point at the top, this is a small cache (plastic container) holding 4 bouncy balls, 4 phone charms and log book at time of hiding. Please bring small swaps and your own writing material!
A few miles from Swindon in Wiltshire, the nearest villages are Hinton Parva and Bishopstone. It is located just off the Ridgeway National Trail which stretches for 87 miles across southern counties. The views from this stretch of the Ridgeway are spectacular, particularly on clear days and during the summer. But as the name suggests it always attracts a breeze so don't forget your jacket!
It is an easy half mile stroll from the suggested parking at WP1, suitable for all abilities and a popular route for dog walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. Beware of muggles!
For a longer walk use parking at WP2, (Church parking in Bishopstone). From here walk through the church yard, right up the tree lined path and at the top of the hill cross the road to the mud track leading up to the Ridgeway. This takes you out to the base of the valley which you follow to the top to get onto the Ridgeway.
Cache is purposely camo’d please place back exactly as found and as stealthy as able, for other players enjoyment 🥷
(I don’t want to encourage traffic up these small narrow lanes but for the less mobile, use WP3 for parking co-ordinates at the bottom of Charlbury Hill).
