Mount Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Geosam106: After careful thinking, I am going to archive this one due to the huge cache density in Leek and the surrounding area. In the near future, I'll be setting up a route series so keep your eyes peeled!! Other reasons include the frequency of finding, the last was 2 months apart. Also, this was my very first geocache hidden, so it's been out for nearly 2 years!! Thanks to everyone for finding it!! Geosam106 [8D]

Geocache Description:

The Mount Cache is on the entrance to the public footpath, on the
top of Kniveden Lane. FTF Honours go to Ban Dia

In the Cache, you will find a logbook, a pencil, a pencil sharpener
and a trade Item, The container is a plastic box located somewhere
near the entrance to the footpath. You are looking for a small
lunchbox sized container. If you follow the footpath, you will
eventually go to Morridge, 1.75 miles away. You can access the
cache location by car aswell, just park your car on Mount Road and
it is 50m away! This cache is an ideal cache for first time cachers
but can be found by experienced people too! Travel Bugs and Geo
coins are very welcome to the cache! If you follow the footpath
where the cache is, you will come out on Mount Road, Walk to one of
the benches, sit and enjoy the fabulous view of Leek from 820 Feet
above sea level! If you come to find in the late evening, after
finding, go to a bench and watch the sun set over Leek. The Mount is
one of the highest points in town so excellent views can be seen
from here. The walk is very popular so stealth may be required! If
you choose to walk around the Mount, you will become very close to
the Lowe Hill to Birchall Cache GC1TR93 which can be found if
you turn left and follow the road across the bridge. The walk is
very nice and is 2 miles all around. Please be careful whilst
caching! This cache is about 3/4 miles walk from the Market town
of Leek which celebrated 800 years (in 2007) of being given its
market charter in 1207 by King John! If you want to find out more,
