Located at Briones Reservoir. Start at the Bear Creek Staging Area on Bear Creek Road. Go thru the gate to the right/east and uphill on the Oursan Trail counter clockwise around the reservoir. Hampton Staging Area on Hampton Road might be even closer, but there is the bovine situation. Inexpensive EBMUD Trail Hiking Permit required, which can be obtained on the EBMUD website under "recreation" and at various locations.
May be very near poison oak; be careful. Recent report of it being missing. If any further reports of it being gone and the listing will be deleted. Best not to make a special trip just for this questionable cache.
